It was a good night for the democrats.

At least according to the betting odds for the 2024 election as Vice President Kamala Harris pulled ahead from former President Donald Trump early Wednesday, hours after the two engaged in their first and what is likely to be only debate.

After running neck-and-neck with Trump, Harris is ahead in all polls now, according to realclearpolling.com.

Harris enjoys a 51.8% chance of becoming president in November’s election, while Trump has a 46.9% chance. This differs from a week ago when the two were virtually tied.

  • Betfair gives Harris a 50% chance, Trump a 45% chance.

  • Betsson and Bovada both give Harris a 52% chance. Betsson give Trump a 48% chance, while Bovada gives him a 49% chance.

  • Bwin gives Harris a 53% chance and Trump a 47% chance.

  • Polymarket has the race close — with Harris sitting at 48% and Trump at 47%.

  • Points Bets and Predictit each give Harris a 54% chance of winning with Trump sitting at 46%.

  • Smarkets has Harris leading, 51% to 46%.

  • Harris is also favorite on the website 538, which uses polling, economic and demographic data to explore likely election outcomes. The site gives Harris a 56% chance at winning, Trump a 44% chance.

While Harris has had leads before, this is her biggest, and it comes after the two met in Philadelphia for their first debate. According to Forbes, Harris’ election odds have risen by 4.5 points in the past day, while Trump’s have fell by four percent.

The debate wasn’t the only thing that could have impacted betting odds.

Pop star Taylor Swift officially endorsed Harris last night after the debate.
