Mar. 5—Miss Lewis County 2025, and for the second year running, Miss Lewis County’s Teen, will be crowned during the annual Miss Lewis County Scholarship Program on Saturday, March 8.

The competition will be held at 7 p.m. at the Centralia College Corbet Theatre. Tickets will be $25 each if purchased at the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce before the event and $30 the night of the event at the door.

The young women crowned on Saturday will take over for 2024 Miss Lewis County Katelynn Guenther and Miss Lewis County’s Teen Capri O’Neill.

A local chapter of the Miss America program, contestants in both Miss Lewis County divisions are judged on pre-pageant interviews, on-stage questions, the “red carpet” portion and a talent show.

The winners receive scholarships in addition to their crowns and titles.

This year’s Miss Lewis County contestants are:

—Violet Wesen: A student at W.F. West High School and the daughter of Brooke Fetch. She is 17 years old is and sponsored by Old Mill Farm. Her hostess is Paige Patton, and her talent is musical theater dancing and acting. Wesen’s community service initiative is “Teenage Mental Health,” and her LC Shining Star is Royal Bresnahan, of Chehalis.

—Hannah Murphy: A senior at W.F. West high school and the daughter of Tracy and Sherri Murphy. She is 18 years old and is sponsored by Wagner Orthodontic. Her hostess is Roberta Sexsmith, and her talent is vocals. Murphy’s community service initiative is “One Heart, One Mind: Youth Mental Health,” and her LC Shining Star is Avery Butler, of Chehalis.

—Amanda Brossard: A sophomore at Centralia college and the daughter of Randy and Sheryl Brossard. She is 19 years old and is sponsored by Southwest Washington Dance Center. Her hostess is Cami Huntting, and her talent is dance. Brossard’s community service initiative is “All About Mentorship,” and her LC Shining Star is Paisley Simper, of Chehalis.

—Madeline Scalici: A freshman at Centralia College and the daughter of Tony and Jennifer Scalici. She is 19 years old and is sponsored by Lewis County Coffee. Her hostess is Amanda Serl, and her talent is “HERStory.” Scalici’s community service initiative is “Live Better, Longer: Blue Zones,” and her LC Shining Star is McKenna Ziady, of Chehalis.

This year’s Miss Teen Lewis County contestants are:

—Hana Bishop: A junior at Centralia High School and the daughter of Aaron Bishop. She is 17 years old and is sponsored by Dry Box. Her hostess is Paige Patton, and her talent is dance and hip hop. Bishop’s community service initiative is “Bringing Generations Together: Connecting Youth With Nursing Home Residents,” and her little sister is Jubilee Douglas, of Centralia.

—Riley Martin: A student at Onalaska High School and the daughter of Tezrah Martin. She is 17 years old and is sponsored by Hamilton Appraisals. Her hostess is Cami Huntting, and her talent is “HERStory.” Martin’s community service initiative is “Cultivating Connection: Connecting Agriculture and Community Through Farm-to-Table,” and her LC Shining Star is Pepper Hatten of Chehalis.

—Hailey Sturdevant: A student at W.F. West high school and the daughter of Lenni Ball. She is 15 years old and is sponsored by Lewis County Coffee. Her hostess is Roberta Sexsmith, and her talent is speed painting. Sturdevant’s community service initiative is “Nourishing Hope: Empowering Communities Through Healthy Food Access,” and her LC Shining Star is Autumn Tomes-Irby, of Centralia.
