Jamie Lynn Sigler is probably best known as Meadow Soprano, the New Jersey teen plagued by her father’s mob ties in The Sopranos — but nearly three decades later, she’s proven she’s more than just her breakout role.
From her early beginnings on Broadway to her fierce MS advocacy and upcoming debut in Season 3 of Netflix’s Tires, premiering August 13, Sigler is opening up about it all exclusively in her 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me interview, from the latest issue of Us on newsstands now.
Keep scrolling for Sigler’s childhood celebrity crush, wild nickname and her starstruck moments. (Here’s looking at you, Pierce Brosnan!)
1. My favorite season is winter. It shifts the mood everywhere. People feel hopeful.
2. My most vivid childhood memory is making home movies with my brothers, [like] our version of Rambo. I was always the damsel in distress.
3. A Sopranos memory that makes me smile is our first-ever table read without any idea of how our lives were about to change.
4. My wildest Sopranos fan interaction was seeing someone have the logo tattooed on their chest!
5. Celeb crush growing up was Luke Perry. I was obsessed with 90210 and he was my favorite.
6. My nickname is KJ, for Krazy Jamie. I had one night where I was firing on all cylinders and made my friends laugh by doing skits with this alter ego, KJ.
7. I’mma morning person. I like to be up before everyone else and have peace and quiet and zero rush.
8. My phobia is insects. They just gross me out and make me feel vulnerable.
9. Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway was my most memorable performance. Being on Broadway was my dream since I was a little girl.
10. Bravo is on most often at home. [I love] Sonja Morgan or Alicia [Carmody] from The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
11. My go-to karaoke song is anything by Bonnie Raitt. She’s the best.
12. I cry every time someone scores [in sports]. I can feel the joy and hard work pay off for someone, and it overcomes me. Everyone makes fun of me for it.
13. Something I wish people better understood about MS is that it doesn’t define the person.
14. My favorite book is The Alchemist. It shifted my perspective on life from what “happens to me” into what “happens for me.”
15. All the sex scenes in Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss were my most nerve-wracking to film!
16. An embarrassing moment was when my top fell off in high school during a musical performance.
17. My comfort food is pizza. I’m from New York, of course I love pizza!
18. The most starstruck I’ve ever been is seeing Pierce Brosnan. We cohosted an event together. He was so kind but also a movie star, and I was just in awe.
19. A movie I quote in real life is A League of Their Own. One of my top movies of all time.
20. My alternate profession would be a vet. I love animals so much.
21. My go-to fast food order is the No. 2 meal at McDonald’s.
22. My most valuable life lesson is that nothing is constant and to ride the wave.
23. My favorite city to visit is Barcelona. My grandmother was from Spain, and the entire time I was there, I was covered in goosebumps. I know I lived there in a past life.
24. My most used app is Instagram. I love to see the people I love share their lives.
25. The last show I binged was Your Friends and Neighbors. Love every performance. They are dynamic and funny and deeply human.
