The San Francisco 49ers fan base has earned the “Faithful” moniker for a reason.
One such fan made his faith in the franchise permanent, and did so in a place that is raising eyebrows.
A video of a male 49ers fan rocking a massive lower back tattoo while at the pool has gone viral on social media. The initial video, which was posted on Thursday afternoon, has tallied over 800,000 views, and countless other accounts have since reposted it.
“A 49ers tramp stamp is insane,” the initial post was captioned.
The fan also had a Tottenham Hotspur logo on his upper back, which is an English Premier League team. But the positioning of that tattoo is a lot less conspicuous then the 49ers one below it.
Many social media accounts are having a field day with the tattoo. The Barstool Sports’ X account reposted the video and wrote, “Do you really love your team if you don’t have a tramp stamp of their logo?”
“This counts as the Niners first loss of the season btw,” another X user added in a comment.
“Tell me you finished last in a fantasy football league without actually telling me you finished last in a fantasy football league,” added another, suggesting this might have been a diabolical fantasy football punishment.
At least San Francisco is somewhat justifying the tattoo through their 6-0 start to the season.
