HBO’s seven-episode series Task, led by Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, is scheduled to debut on HBO on September 7, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET and will be available to stream on HBO Max at the same time. The upcoming series is created and written by Brad Ingelsby, the creator of Mare of Easttown, and set in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Task is set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia and stars Ruffalo as an FBI agent tasked with heading a task force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man, portrayed by Pelphrey. Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith are getting into more wild adventures this month. Following its release on Adult Swim earlier this year, all 10 episodes of Rick and Morty Season 8 made their streaming debut on HBO Max on September 1, 2025. The platform also streams the seven previous seasons of the beloved animated sci-fi comedy.
