An appearance on Adin Ross’ livestream this week caused a world of headaches for Puka Nacua, but it doesn’t seem it’s going to hurt the Rams receiver’s bank account.
The internet star said late Thursday night on yet another stream that if the NFL fines Nacua for comments he made while appearing before Ross’ cameras on Tuesday, he’ll make sure the bill is taken care of.
“Did he actually get fined?” Ross asked his followers just after Nacua’s Rams lost a 38-37 heartbreaker to the Seahawks in Seattle. “If he does, I’m paying his fine, by the way.
“I’m making it very clear, I’m paying his f–king fine. I’m paying his fine. Yo, bro, I will pay his fine proudly and gladly.”
Among the many headlines Nacua made during his chat with Ross, the NFL superstar called referees “the worst,” and claimed they make calls just to get TV time.
He later doubled down on that stance following “Thursday Night Football,” asking on his X page, “Can you say I was wrong.
“Appreciate you stripes for your contribution. Lol.”
The NFL officially fined Nacua $25,000 on Friday.
As for the controversial gesture that was made on Tuesday’s stream, Ross raced to Nacua’s defense there on Thursday as well, imploring critics to stop coming after the 24-year-old football player.
“I did that,” Ross said.
Even with all the drama, Nacua had the best game of his career in Thursday’s loss, tallying 12 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns.
