DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — The former boyfriend of a Georgia mom and once Houston County resident accused of plotting to kill her estranged husband while vacationing in the Bahamas will speak for the first time in an exclusive television interview.

Terrance Adrian Bethel’s interview will air on WDHN during Good Morning America at 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Bethel was charged in the murder-for-hire plot alongside Lindsay Shiver after police in the Bahamas claimed they found messages on WhatsApp between Bethel and Shiver, which allegedly included photos of Shiver’s husband, Robert Shiver, along with the message “Kill him.”

Bethel will speak on those alleged messages during his interview with GMA’s Eva Pilgrim.

Shiver was set to stand trial this month in the Bahamian capital of Nassau on a murder-for-hire charge. However, her trial date has been pushed to March 2025.

This is the third time her trial date has been pushed. Shiver’s original trial date was March 2024, but it was moved to July and then again to October.

It is currently unknown why Shiver’s trial has been moved again.

Also charged in the alleged murder-for-hire plot is Bethel’s friend, Faron Newbold Jr.

Shiver, Bethel, and Newbold Jr. could face 30 and 60 years behind bars if convicted.

Shiver, whose maiden name is Shirly, was named Miss Houston County in 2005, according to Houston County Pagent Inc. She also placed second in the National Peanut Festival pageant.
