Anheuser-Busch recently announced plans to invest $14 million to further upgrade the facilities and equipment at its brewery in Houston.
The Budweiser and Michelob brewer said the project would also repair elevators and doors, replace the roof of the warehouse, upgrade can lines with new air rinsers to curb water use, and bolster the site’s wireless, copper and fiber connectivity.
“We’ve been a proud member of the Texas community for nearly 60 years, and this investment is a testament to Anheuser-Busch’s commitment to producing high quality beer here in Houston,” Ryan Hudgins, the brewery’s senior general manager, said in the announcement.

The project follows $22.5 million in upgrades last year. The Houston plant, which dates back to 1966, is one of four company facilities in Texas.
Anheuser-Busch said it has invested nearly $2 billion in its U.S. sites in the past five years.
