There is a special charm to dining in small towns — restaurants are more likely to be local and reflect the area’s unique history. In recognition of that, Food Network released a list of the most charming small-town restaurant in every state.
“While many people believe that you have to travel to other countries or big cities to experience the best parts of life, sometimes it’s those small towns that truly bring the charm and the must-have dishes that you’ll be raving about for years to come,” wrote Ni’Kesia Pannell.
In Arizona, a Sedona restaurant took the title. It’s not a surprise, since Sedona is consistently named one of the state’s most charming cities.
What’s the most charming Sedona restaurant?
Food Network picked Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill, run by chef Lisa Dahl.

“Equipped with architecture as exquisite as its menu items, the property overlooks a scenic bluff surrounded by red canyons,” said Pannell.
Mariposa serves salads and burgers for lunch and tapas for dinner. The restaurant is one of six owned by Dahl, who has competed on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay.”
