Ex-President Joe Biden, in an appearance on ABC’s “The View” Thursday, defiantly challenged Democratic insiders and journalists who have come forward with credible reports of his failing mental acuity that ultimately led to him being struck from the 2024 ticket.

“Since you left office, there have been a number of books that have come out — deeply sourced from Democratic sources — that claim in your final year, there was a dramatic decline in your cognitive abilities,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said.

“What is your response to these allegations and are these sources wrong?” she asked.

“They are wrong, there’s nothing to sustain that,” Biden said defiantly.

But the former president ironically went on to stumble over his words as he listed some of the earlier crises he handled after taking office — including the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic — without further addressing the question.

“We were also in a situation where we found ourselves unable to deal without a lot of just basic issues, and uh, which I won’t go into. It’s an interesting time,” he added, speaking softly before directly contradicting himself.

“And so, we went to work and we got it done,” Biden began before apologizing for having “talked too long” and being interrupted by former first lady Jill Biden.

“The people who wrote those books were not in the White House with us. And they didn’t see how hard Joe worked every single day,” she butted in.

“He’d get up, he’d put in a full day and then at night I’d be in bed reading my book and he was still on the phone reading his briefings, working with staff,” Jill recalled. “You live it 24 hours a day.”

“I think he was a great president,” she added to cheers. “If you look at things today, give me Joe Biden any time.”
