Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, took a victory lap after the Trump administration agreed to renegotiate funding for the Maine Sea Grant.

Hudson, who is open about being a proud daughter of a Maine fisherman, had been serving as a voice for Maine’s Fisherman Forum as the federal funding program, Maine Sea Grant, was cut last Saturday.

The former national champion cheerleader shared the “most wonderful news” in an Instagram post, which thanked Maine Senator Susan Collins for her “commitment to Maine’s fishing community” and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnik “for hearing our pleas.”

Hudson, 23, who included a photo of her and Collins posing together, began her message with, “The Fisherman Have Been Heard!”

She used the hashtags, “Trump Does Love Fisherman” and “Save Maine Fishermen,” among others.

Last Saturday, Hudson spoke on behalf of the Maine fisherman community while discussing the state of the industry at the 50th Maine Fishermen’s Forum in Rockport, Maine.

Belichick, clad in a blue Tar Heels sweatshirt, was there for support, as seen in a photo posted to Hudson’s Instagram, which showed the couple on a private plane.

The newly hired North Carolina football coach and Hudson have been dating since 2022.

They went public with their relationship last June.

Hudson recently sent public pleas to the White House and President Donald Trump on behalf of the fisherman community to “reinstate the Maine Sea Grant or present a proper alternative.”

The former pageant queen also shared some black and white images of herself from a photoshoot and tagged the White House and Trump on Instagram.

Hudson condemned “reckless regulatory decisions by government officials” that caused the “abrupt cut” of funding for Maine Sea Grant in a separate Instagram post Tuesday.

“The news came like a tsunami to the Forum on Saturday that the federal funding program ‘Maine Sea Grant’, was abruptly cut. This program has been a pillar of support for marine research, sustainability, and economic growth for more than 50 years,” Hudson wrote. “The forum floors filled with tears and fears as if everyone were drowning, and we were.

“This decision only amplified the uncertainty, anxiety and existential fears that already plague the fishermen of Maine. It was the reckless regulatory decisions by government officials with no stake in those decisions that forced my 9th generation fishermen father out of this industry more than 15 years ago. Please do not put others through what we have been through.”

Last October, Belichick and Hudson dressed as a fisherman and a mermaid for Halloween.
