Biltmore’s seasonal events

Biltmore Estate, which opened in 1895, was the home of George Vanderbilt and his family.

From March 21-May 22, the “Spring at Biltmore” program will honor landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted’s vision of Biltmore Gardens and grounds, which will come alive with thousands of spring flowers maintained by the estate’s landscaping team. The showcase of daffodils, tulips, wisteria, azaleas and roses will usher in the warmer weather days.

“Summer at Biltmore” will run from May 23-Sept. 1. Outdoor activities will include guided hikes, horseback riding and farm-to-table dining with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Guests may experience wine tastings and live music in Antler Hill Village.

“Fall at Biltmore,” Sept. 2-Oct. 31, will highlight the autumnal landscape with displays of chrysanthemums and changing leaves across the 8,000-acre estate.

The year will conclude with the return of the holiday program, “Christmas at Biltmore.” From Nov. 1-Jan. 4, the estate will transform into a winter wonderland of lights, decorated trees, evening Biltmore House candlelight tours and more.

The Inn on Biltmore Estate

The two-year renovation project will conclude at The Inn on Biltmore Estate in the spring. In collaboration with ROAM Interior Design, the redesign was inspired by Biltmore House’s history, incorporating classical European style and modern luxury touches.

Guest rooms and corridor updates include nature-inspired wall coverings by famed designer William Morris, carved wood detailing, hardwood floors, spa-style bathrooms, artwork recreations from the Vanderbilt family’s collection and more.

The estate’s hotel property is open during the renovations.
