Brian Cashman isn’t going anywhere.

The Yankees general manager said Wednesday, sitting alongside owner Hal Steinbrenner, that he has agreed to a new contract to stay in his post, though some final details still needed to be ironed out.

Next season will mark Cashman’s 30th as the team’s general manager.

Steinbrenner seems satisfied with Cashman’s performance, pinning the Yankees’ sweep at the hands of the Rays in the ALDS on the players, specifically on the offense.

This marks the second straight postseason that the Yankees lost to a division rival in the ALDS with that opponent going on to reach the World Series, with the Rays set to face the Brewers in this year’s Fall Classic after the Blue Jays fell to the Dodgers in seven games last year.

Manager Aaron Boone is returning for the 2027 season, and Steinbrenner said he has not discussed an extension with Boone but feels he did a good job.
