Carla Gugino Signs With Gersh

EXCLUSIVE: Carla Gugino (The Fall of the House of Usher) has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.

Gugino was most recently seen in the Max Original drama series The Girls on the Bus, opposite Melissa Benoist, Christina Elmore, Natasha Behnam, Brandon Scott, and Scott Foley.

Last year she starred in Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher, receiving a Critics Choice Award nomination for her role as Verna in the series which is loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe’s short story of the same name. She was also featured in the 2024 Focus Features’ genre hit Lisa Frankenstein.

She’ll next be seen in The Friend, opposite Naomi Watts, which just premiered at Telluride and TIFF, and in Ilya Naishuller’s action comedy Heads of State for Amazon MGM, opposite Priyanka Chopra, John Cena, Idris Elba, and Jack Quaid.

Her film credits include Navot Papushado-directed action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake, IFC Films’ Elizabeth Harvest, Netflix’s film adaptation of Gerald’s Game, indie film Wolves with Michael Shannon, a starring role in Warner Bros’ San Andreas, opposite Dwayne Johnson, among many others.

Her previous work on the small screen includes Season 2 of Spectrum anthology series Manhunt, Cinemax’s drama Jett, a project she also executive produced, and Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor as well as The Haunting of Hill House in a re-team with director Mike Flanagan. She also starred in HBO comedy series The Brink and in Fox’s Wayward Pines, and had memorables roles in Sin City, Spy Kids, and Watchmen.

Gugino’s Broadway work includes turns as Maggie in Arthur Miller’s After The Fall, for which she received a Theater World Award and an Outer Critics Circle nomination for Outstanding Actress in a play, the role of Catherine in Tennessee Williams’ Suddenly Last Summer, and as Abbie Putnam in Eugene O’Neill’s Desire Under The Elms.
