While Carrie Underwood is often in the spotlight for her career — performing on the world stage at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2025 — she prefers to keep her personal life more private.

The “Before He Cheats” artist, who married husband Mike Fisher in 2010, shares two sons with the former NHL star: Isaiah, who was born in 2015, and Jacob, who was born in 2019.

While the kids are certainly aware of their mom’s profession — Isaiah and Jacob have gone on tour with Underwood, and a 5-year-old Isaiah even duetted with his mom on “The Little Drummer Boy” — they’re just starting to realize that not everyone’s parents are superstars.

In October 2022, the American Idol champion told Today that Isaiah, then 7, was “becoming more aware” that her fame and career aren’t “normal.”

“He’ll go to school and someone will be like, ‘I saw your mom on TV last night,'” Underwood revealed. “He’s just becoming more aware that his mom does something that’s not normal.'”

Though the “Cry Pretty” singer has discussed life with her little ones in interviews over the years, she rarely shares photos of her sons — making headlines every time she chooses to do so.

Underwood, did, in fact post birth announcements for each of her boys via social media — sharing a glimpse at newborn Isaiah’s mouth and hands in February 2015 and several shots of a brand-new Jacob in January 2019, including sweet photos with his older brother and parents.

Months before Jacob’s birth, Underwood brought a then 3-year-old Isaiah with her and Fisher as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in September 2018 — a rare red carpet moment for her eldest son, who was dressed in a tiny suit and was photographed sucking his thumb while holding on to his mom’s dress.

As the years went on, Underwood began to occasionally share a rare grid photo of her kids — but most of them would be via her Instagram Story; photos that would expire after 24 hours. These images included a 2023 shot of her boys’ Christmas ornaments, which were emblazoned with photos of Isaiah and Jacob’s faces — which Underwood tends to obscure. In fact, the majority of the country star’s pictures of her children are photos where their backs are to the camera.

In June 2024, Underwood made headlines when she treated fans to an entire Instagram carousel of photos depicting her family’s trip to Hershey Park — a slideshow that featured multiple pictures of Isaiah and Jacob having “a blast.”

“Had a day off with the fam in PA today, so we popped down to @hersheypark for some rides, fun and food! The boys had SUCH a BLAST!!!” Underwood gushed in her caption.
