The Giants suffered a narrow 20-15 loss to the rival Cowboys on Thursday, but it wasn’t so close in the stands.

Video from MetLife Stadium, posted to social media, shows a Cowboys fan throwing some serious haymakers at a Giants fan during the “Thursday Night Football” matchup.

It’s unclear what started the brouhaha, which came during the first quarter, after Big Blue kicker Greg Joseph put the Giants up 3-0 with a 52-yard field goal.

Fans seated nearby seemingly attempted to intervene, they weren’t able to stop the Cowboys fan, clad in a vintage Troy Aikman jersey, from raining down some brutal blows.

The Giants fan appeared dazed, needing some help to stay upright from another Big Blue supporter.

It was an early harbinger for the hometown fans, as their team went on to lose for the 14th time in 15 tries against Dallas — and their 13th straight defeat to Cowboys quarterback Dan Prescott.

The game marked the 10th time in 12 years the teams have met in a prime-time matchup, with the Giants on the wrong side of a 1-9 record in those meetings.

In the latest edition, the Giants were unable to find the end zone, with Joseph’s five field goals accounting for all their scoring.

Making matters worse, star rookie Malik Nabers exited the game late in the fourth quarter with a concussion, landing hard while trying to make a catch as he fell out of bounds.

The loss dropped the Giants to a disappointing 1-3, as they failed to follow up their road upset over the Browns in Week 3.

“Yeah. Again, the result stinks,’’ coach Brian Daboll said. “I thought there was improvement. I think there’s been continual improvement. Last week we got the result we wanted, this week we didn’t, which is hurtful. It’s painful. We played the game the way we needed to play it, we just missed out on a couple of things.’’

They’ll have a chance to get back into the win column on Sunday, Oct. 6 in Seattle — giving their fans some much needed respite before returning home to face the Bengals in Week 6.
