Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez wedding guest list had just 5 people

Portugal soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, over the weekend.

Ronaldo had been clear about his intention to marry Rodriguez after the 2026 World Cup ended. And initial reports indicated that the couple planned to get hitched in a cathedral in Madeira, Portugal, on August 8.

Then reports surfaced that these initial reports were inaccurate, and that the soccer icon wasn’t getting married last weekend after all. In the end, Ronaldo and Rodriguez had duped just about everyone, which became clear when the couple made an Instagram post showing their respective wedding rings.

Since there weren’t any details about their wedding beforehand, this has naturally lent itself to speculation about what happened during the event.

The Daily Mail offered up some details, including the incredibly brief guest list.

The wedding’s guest list included just five people: Ronaldo and Rodriguez’s five children. Two of these are Georgina’s biological children, while the other three were born are Ronaldo’s kids and born before his relationship with Rodriguez began.

Reports about the wedding taking place in Portugal. However, rather than it happening in Madeira, it Ronaldo and Rogriguez actually got hitched in Cascais, Portugal, in a ceremony that looked a lot different than fans had imagined.

Apparently Rodriguez didn’t want a big wedding, as Ronaldo said, “[Rodriguez] is not the person that likes big parties. She doesn’t like it. She likes private things. So I will respect these decisions.”

One would imagine that if it was up to Ronaldo, he would want a wedding that rivaled what Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did at Madison Square Garden earlier in the summer.
