The Knicks shockingly fired Tom Thibodeau on Tuesday afternoon, just a few days after the coach guided the franchise to its first conference in 25 years.

Here’s a list of six candidates who might replace him:

Johnnie Bryant

Served as the associate head coach under Thibodeau for four years and was a favorite among players, particularly Julius Randle and Immanuel Quickley. Moved to the Cavaliers last season under Kenny Atkinson, helping the franchise to the top seed in the East. Bryant has an advocate in the front office in William Wesley.

Danny Hurley

One hang-up as Hurley mulled the Lakers job was not uprooting his family to the West Coast. He wouldn’t have that problem with the Knicks. But same fiery personality as Malone.
