Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane had a testy moment while in the huddle with his teammates during their 140-103 rout of the Jazz on Tuesday night.
As reserve player Santi Aldama stepped up toward him, Bane pushed him away and teammates separated them before things escalated in the heated skirmish.
Bane appeared to yell “get a f–king stop,” as Aldama was sent crashing back down to his seat in the team huddle.
Memphis, 44-28, still crushed the tanking Jazz, however they had lost three consecutive games coming in and have fallen to fourth place in the Western Conference.
The Grizzlies had previously held the No. 2 seed behind the Thunder.
The Grizzlies were down 65-64 to Utah before a dominant second half, with Bane leading the way with 21 points.
It is unclear exactly when the altercation with Aldama happened.
Aldama, who is in his fourth season out of Loyola, is a key contributor off the bench for the Grizzlies — averaging 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Star guard Ja Morant has been injured on and off throughout the season, now dealing with a hamstring strain that has forced him to miss the past five games.
Prior to that, Jaren Jackson Jr. missed some time, as the Grizzlies have seldom been able to put out their full assortment of talent and health in 2025.
Bane has also missed time and has averaged 18.9 points per game when healthy.
Memphis has a few massive games upcoming against the Lakers on Saturday and Warriors on Tuesday as they look to hold off surging Western Conference contenders jockeying for playoff position.
The Lakers are just a half-game behind the Grizzlies, while the Warriors are three games back in sixth, the final spot above the play-in tournament.
