“Don’t Waste My Time” — Michelle Obama Just Revealed The Brutally Honest Reason Why She Won’t Run For President

Seemingly every presidential election cycle, there are rumors of former first lady Michelle Obama potentially throwing her hat in the ring.

At a recent live event for her new book, The Look, Michelle Obama revealed why she won’t run for president, and her brutally honest answer is going viral.

In a recent clip viewed by over 6 million people, Obama was asked by host Tracee Ellis Ross about the role of the first lady and how it has impacted the way voters view women candidates. “Do you think that impacts the room that we’ve made for a woman to be president?” Ross asked.

“Well, as we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain’t ready,” Obama responded.

“That’s why I’m like, ‘Don’t even look at me about running, ’cause you all are lying,” she said, turning toward the audience. “You’re not ready for a woman. You are not.”

“So, don’t waste my time. You know, we got a lot of growing up to do,” she continued as the crowd applauded. “And there’s still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it.”

In response to the clip, the main takeaway was that Michelle Obama’s point was valid, considering today’s political climate. “She has a point,” one person wrote.

“America wasn’t ready in 2016 or 2024 which is a shame so no don’t look her way at ALL,” another person said.

“We are not what we say we are,” another person agreed.
