SEASIDE — Eleven young women will be competing for titles in the Miss Clatsop County Scholarship Pageant, which takes place at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Seaside Civic & Convention Center. General admission tickets are available at the door for $30.

The program will feature outgoing titleholders Miss Clatsop County, Lilly Boothe, Miss Clatsop County’s Teen, Shaelyn Bangs and Miss North Coast’s Teen, Savana Pedraza. Miss Oregon 2024, Abigail Hoppe, and Hannah Garhofer Brenner will be the co-emcees for the evening.

Also joining them on stage will be 13 future Miss Clatsop County contestants, 5 to 11 years old, as well as dancers from Encore Dance Studio. At intermission, those attending can browse and bid on baskets put together by each contestant, with items donated by local businesses, and buy Girl Scout cookies from Seaside Brownie Troop 10456.

Each contestant must select a Community Service Initiative to champion throughout the year, and their selections will be presented at the first Miss Clatsop Social Impact Showcase and Auction, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, also at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center. This free event will also feature a live auction, refreshments and a no-host bar.

For Saturday’s scholarship pageant, there are four contestants for Miss Clatsop County:

• Lizzi Rocha, 19, attends Western Oregon University. Her talent is vocal performance, and her initiative is “PLUS — Positive Look for Unique Sizes.”

• Miriam Alcala, 19, attends Clatsop Community College. Her talent is Hispanic cultural dance, and her initiative is “Rare Disease Awareness.”

• Milly McCalmon, 18, is homeschooled. Her talent is acro dance, and her initiative is “Let’s End the Unhoused Crisis.”

• Josie Morinville, 21, attends Clatsop Community College. Her talent is lyrical dance, and her initiative is “Achieving Your Dreams, Overcoming Your Disabilities.”

There are seven contestants for Miss Clatsop County’s Teen:

• Daisy McCalmon, 14, is homeschooled. Her talent is ballet en pointe, and her initiative is “The Importance of Fire Safety.”

• Lena Soprano, 15, attends Seaside High School. Her talent is jumping rope, and her initiative is “Jump for Health.”

• Annabella Miguel-Cloninger, 14, attends St. Helens High School. Her talent is playing the flute, and her initiative is “Childhood Illnesses.”

• Bridget Allen, 16, attends Tillamook High School. Her talent is Broadway jazz dance, and her initiative is “Agricultural Mental Health Awareness.”

• Reagan Hartnett, 15, attends Seaside High School. Her talent is vocal performance, and her initiative is “Power of Play.”

• Gia Davis, 16, attends Astoria High School. Her talent is cheer dance, and her initiative is “REEF — Reef Environmental Education Foundation.”

• Aliciyah Miguel-Cloninger, 18, attends St. Helens High School. Her talent is contemporary dance, and her initiative is “Advocating for Diabetic Needs.”

The Miss Clatsop County Scholarship Pageant is the official preliminary competition of the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program and is part of the Miss America Organization. Saturday’s winners will go on to represent the county at the state pageant in June at the Seaside Convention Center.
