Billionaire Elon Musk’s mom warned women that they’ve been “brainwashed” by the media and need to “think for themselves” when voting on Election Day.

Maye Musk, 76, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Friday that even though women are extremely smart, many of them can be tricked by biased news coverage.

“Don’t be brainwashed, and think for yourself, and think for a better future,” she said when asked what she would tell female voters ahead of Tuesday.

The 76-year-old mother of the tech entrepreneur said this week that when she became a US citizen, she initially had registered as a Democrat because she was under the impression that “it was the kind, caring party.”

She lost her faith with Dems, however, after her Elon bought Twitter in 2023 and gave journalists access to a trove of internal company documents known as the “Twitter Files,” which revealed how the social media platform had suppressed conservative posts and users.

“The Twitter Files came out, and it was full of government agencies paying Twitter millions of dollars to remove Republicans from Twitter,” she told Ingraham.

“And I said, ‘That is the most dishonest thing to do, especially as Republicans and Democrats pay the salaries of the government agencies.’”

In a previous interview, Maye Musk explained her conservative shift was also driven by liberal media outlets’ coverage bashing Republicans but also her son, who is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and has become a staunch supporter of Donald Trump.

“They’d also say Elon is terrible, and I was thinking, why are they lying about Elon?” she said on FOX Business’s “The Bottom Line” Thursday.

Maye Musk also took aim at Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz during her interview with Ingraham, calling the Minnesota governor “quite silly” just hours before he called her Elon “gay” while on the campaign trail in Michigan.

“He isn’t a pleasant man, he’s not very bright, and he’s quite silly,” she said of Walz.

“Elon is going to save America with Trump and all the magnificent people on Trump’s team … He can make a change. It will be better for America.”
