Brownyn Newport never missed a chance to defend her marriage to Todd Bradley ahead of their December split.
News broke in December 2025 that The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star and Todd called it quits after nine years of marriage.
“This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. They ask for privacy during this time,” Brownyn’s rep told People in a statement at the time.
Bronwyn and Todd’s relationship — and their 26-year age gap — was thrust into the spotlight when she joined RHOSLC in 2024. During her first season on the show, Bronwyn revealed that Todd had been unfaithful in the past, but she later defended her spouse, claiming it was a “misunderstanding.”
During season 6 of the show, Todd was accused of looking at photos of a woman on his phone during a flight, which prompted Bronwyn to tell costar Whitney Rose she asked him to leave their house.
“After I asked Todd for some space, he was reaching out, telling me he misses me, he’s thinking about me,” Bronwyn said during a November 2025 confessional. “I’m not interested in him just coming home and acting like, you know, nothing’s happened here. Like, I cannot play happy Fisher-Price family.”
Bronwyn changed her tune and backed her husband a few episodes later, claiming that she never said “we separated” and refused to discuss their home life further.

What Bronwyn Said About Her 26-Year Age Gap With Todd
“I don’t think Todd really cares what it looks like to anybody else,” Bronwyn exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2024 amid season 5 of the Bravo series. “That’s a good reminder for me that I’m very happy with Todd and everyone else can see that or not see that, or wish they were me or not wish they were me. They should wish they were me — I’m in a great marriage, I love my relationship and I’m really happy.”
She added: “Todd and I are very different people and together it’s kind of a super team. We have different skill sets, we have different weaknesses, and they balance each other out, and it’s a good partnership.”
Bronwyn Used to Say She Understood Todd
During a November 2024 appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast, host Nick Viall pointed out that Todd appeared to be “laying down the law” and speaking in a “scolding” tone toward Bronwyn during the RHOSLC’s trip to Palm Springs. Bronwyn, however, said there was more to the story.
“I totally understand who Todd is. I understand how to talk to him. I understand how he talks to me,” she explained. “I do see what it looks like. I’m not immune to the commentary and criticism.”
She noted that watching the episode back in which Todd tried to quiet Bronwyn after the topic of her daughter Gwen’s birth father came up with the group did “look like [he was] telling me what to do.” (Bronwyn got pregnant in college and after her daughter’s birth father died, she didn’t have a relationship with her grandparents, a topic that is hard for Bronwyn to speak about.)
Bronwyn acknowledged, “There is room for him to be softer and to hear my side of things more. There is also room for me not to be a hot mess and spirals out of control.”
She revealed that Todd knows her “very well” claiming, “A lot of the times when you see Todd, ‘No, we’re not going to do this.’ Is because Todd knows Bronwyn’s going to have a full meltdown.”
“He knew I was uncomfortable [when Gwen was brought up],” Bronwyn continued. “I don’t need to defend Todd. But I think when you see it the way that I saw it — it is Todd knew that I was not going to handle that well. He did not care if he was not well received at that table. If that was what was best for Gwen and I, he was going to shut it down.”
Why Bronwyn Stayed After Catching Todd ‘Cheating’
During a December 2024 episode of the Bravo series, Bronwyn opened up about her daughter, Gwen, discovering that Todd was having an affair via his iPad.
“Gwen came to me, and I confronted Todd,” she recalled on the show. “The real truth is that my relationship is just as hard as everybody else’s in its own ways. It’s had its very low lows that were very hard for me.”
When the women asked what happened next, Bronwyn claimed, “It’s a fatal flaw of his. What’s good for him in business is that he’s never satisfied. … It’s hard to turn that off when you come home.”
Instead of leaving him, Bronwyn said she stay and Todd allegedly “came back with a ring that had five diamonds, and he made me five new promises to match each of the diamonds. It was five things he didn’t promise me when we got married that he should have.”
The Cheating ‘Misunderstanding’
Bronwyn later clarified on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that her cheating confession wasn’t the full story.
“A lot of it was a misunderstanding. We have different boundaries,” Bronwyn told Andy Cohen in December 2024. “Todd never did anything physical with anybody. It wasn’t this big affair. It was really that I was uncomfortable with how much he was talking with somebody who was very flirty with him.”
No ‘Gout D***’ Here
During season 6 of RHOSLC, Lisa Barlow got into a yelling match with Bronwyn at a group party. When Bronwyn came for Lisa’s Vida Tequila brand during a September 2025 episode and her alleged legal disputes, Lisa claimed that Bronwyn was a “gout d*** sucker,” taking a jab at her and Todd’s sex life and age gap.
“It didn’t bother him. I kept being like, ‘OK, this was coming,’” Bronwyn told Us in October 2025 of Todd’s reaction to the insult. (Gout is a joint condition, usually in the feet.)
She then clarified, “Todd does not have gout in his genitals. He had it in his feet like 18 [or] 24 months ago, and I made fun of it, which I think is where that came from. I’ve since been educated extensively on gout. That’s all people ever want to talk to me about now.”
Inside Todd’s Season 6 ‘RHOSLC’ Stepback
After cohosting the RHOSLC women and their husbands on a trip to Palm Springs during season 5 of the series, Bronwyn said Todd took a bit of a step back for season 6 — but he still filmed with her. (Bronwyn and Todd fought throughout the California getaway as he grew frustrated with how she negatively engaged with her costars.)
“This season, you’re only gonna see Todd with me,” Bronwyn exclusively revealed in Us Weekly’s Reality Stars of the Year issue published in October 2025. “I support Todd making whatever choice is best for him. He has a business outside of the show that does not naturally overlap with what we do on the show. His partners don’t watch the show, aren’t interested in watching the show [and] don’t know how to explain that in their line of work.”
Bronwyn continues, “Todd felt like he wanted to still find a way to be supportive of me, but not be a part of what was going on.”
Bronwyn Denied Separation From Todd on ‘RHOSLC’ Just Before IRL Split
“Are you going to get a No. 2 while you’re here? You have kinda thrown out looking into an open marriage,” Angie Katsanevas asked Bronwyn during a December 2025 episode of RHOSLC while the women were on vacation in Greece.
Bronwyn quickly shut down the possibility of hooking up with someone else, saying, “Todd and I are not in an open marriage. He’s happy and that’s fine.”
When Heather Gay asked her if she was “happy” in her marriage, Bronwyn insisted, “I’m super happy. I am. I actually super adore Todd, we’re happy and there’s no drama at our house.”
