A former Navy SEAL involved in the operation to kill al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden seemed to threaten young voters with sexual abuse Sunday for voting for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Robert J. O’Neill, who has identified himself as the man who shot bin Laden, responded to a tweet from liberal influencer Harry Sisson. Sisson posted a photo of himself and four other young men shortly after they voted.

“We’re Gen Z voters and we all PROUDLY voted for Kamala Harris!” Sisson wrote. “Real men support Harris!”

On Sunday night, O’Neill responded to the tweet by claiming they weren’t men before bizarrely implying he’d have some kind of sexually abusive relationship with them.

“You’re not men. You’re boys,” O’Neill wrote. “If there was no social media, you would be my concubines.”

Merriam-Webster defines a concubine as “a woman with whom a man cohabits without being married” and “one having a recognized social status in a household below that of a wife.” In short, O’Neill seemed to imply the young men would be his mistresses.

It’s unknown if O’Neill meant to use that word specifically, but he responded to the outrage from the tweet by doubling down.

Some users online made an effort to have a community note added to the tweet. As noted in a screenshot, the word O’Neill may have been looking for is “catamite” — an ancient Greek term that refers to a young boy involved in a relationship with an older man.
