The current champion will join a couple of former champions.
Jalen Brunson is set to be a guest on Eli and Peyton Manning’s “ManningCast” on ESPN Monday night during the Eagles-Cowboys game, The Post has learned.
Brunson, who grew up in South Jersey before moving to Chicago, is a devout Eagles fan.
The Knicks captain will join the show during the third quarter.
Brunson and the Knicks last season became the first New York team in one of the major four sports leagues to win a championship since Eli’s Giants won the Super Bowl in 2011.
He will be the fifth active NBA player to join the “ManningCast,” after LeBron James, Draymond Green, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
Former NBA legend Charles Barkley also made an appearance.
It continues Brunson’s exploding media presence, which most recently included hosting “Saturday Night Live” last month.
Eli was previously a guest on Brunson and Josh Hart’s “The Roommates Show” podcast. Brunson was also a guest on the “Eli Manning Show,” where he asked Brunson “who can we blame that you are an Eagles fan?”
“I grew up in South Jersey,” Brunson explained. “South Jersey’s basically all Philly [sports fandom]. My first non-NBA sporting event was Terrell Owens’ first game at [Lincoln Financial FIeld].”
There was some common ground, though.
“All I know,” Brunson said, “is that we both beat the Patriots [in the Super Bowl].”
They can reminisce on Monday.
