Olympic champion ski racer Mikaela Shiffrin was shopping for wedding wonders at the Naeem Khan show.

The slope ripper announced her engagement to Norwegian superstar Aleksander Aamodt Kilde in April. The glamorous pair met at a ski camp and have been together for more than three years.

“This is my first New York fashion week and it’s the second show of my life,” said the five-time overall World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, who was sheathed in a glittering Naeem Khan evening gown.

“I love watching and seeing what everyone’s wearing. One of the reasons that I wanted to come to Naeem Khan is the absolutely beautiful bridal collection.”

After New York Fashion Week is over, Shiffrin is heading back to the pistes. “We were in Chile for three weeks training on snow, and then I’ll be home in Colorado for a week and then we go to Argentina,” she told Alexa. “I join my teammates as much as possible, but I’m the only one who does speed and tech – like slalom, super-G and downhill – so we have to go to pretty unique places to get training for all of them.”

Shiffrin says the wedding will likely happen after the 2026 winter Games and the couple hasn’t decided on a location. “He’s from Norway and lives in Austria and I live in Colorado and we love Maui, so there are a number of places. Maybe a mountain wedding, or maybe ocean, or maybe somewhere random in Europe,” she added.

Her fiancé is recovering from a horrific 75-mile-a-hour crash during a World Cup downhill race in Wengen, Switzerland, in January. The two-time Olympic medalist suffered a dislocated shoulder, two torn shoulder ligaments and a deep laceration on his calf that needed emergency surgery due to nerve damage, followed later by a shoulder surgery.

Shiffrin described the injury as “pretty gruesome” and said “he’s doing well.”

Meanwhile, she came back from a left knee injury to clinch her eighth World Cup slalom-season title in March.

Khan opened his show at the Angel Orensanz Foundation with an array of romantic ivory confections that wouldn’t be out of place at the altar, followed by beaded, crystal-studded and embroidered evening finery. He closed his runway parade with a showstopping “Wicked” collab with Universal Studios. The capsule will drop in time for the November release of Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation starring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.

“Wow, just simply…WOW,” raved Shiffrin on her Instagram after the event. “I have never seen anything like that, and I am just so blown away by the beautiful art these designers create. Stunning.”
