New photos released by the FBI reveal new details about the potential subject in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie.

One black-and-white image released by FBI Director Kash Patel on Tuesday, February 10, showed the person standing outside of Nancy’s home with an object that appeared to be a gun in the waistband.

Patel, 45, released additional images and videos on Tuesday, which showed the potential suspect attempting to cover the camera outside of Nancy’s home with a fist. Later, the person was seen carrying plants to place over the camera.

Savannah, for her part, reshared both the photos and a video via her Instagram alongside statements that read, “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home. Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department 520-351-4900.”

A separate statement on Tuesday read, “Someone out there recognizes this person. We believe she is still out there. Bring her home. Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department 520-351-4900.”

News broke on February 1 that Nancy was reported missing by a family member who called 911. She was last seen the previous day.

Savannah, meanwhile, has been absent from her desk at the Today show amid Nancy’s disappearance. Her colleagues back in New York City have continued to keep viewers up to date on the latest developments in the case.

Hoda [Kotb] is joining us this morning as our Today family continues to navigate uncharted territory, balancing the updates on the search for Savannah’s mom with all the other stories of the day, like we normally do,” cohost Craig Melvin said on Monday, February 9, as Kotb, 61, filled in for Savannah. “But we know things are far from normal right now. So, folks, we are asking for your grace as we continue to do this.”

Kotb noted that “Savannah and her family are our top priority” but explained that the team still has “a job to do” to keep viewers informed. She went on to add that their “thoughts and prayers” are with the Guthrie family “24/7.”

Savannah and her family — including sister Annie Guthrie and brother Camron Guthrie — have released several emotional videos amid the search for Nancy. One video released on Monday was posted shortly before the deadline for an alleged ransom letter passed, with Savannah making a plea for the return of her mom.

“I just wanted to come on and share some thoughts as we enter into another week of this nightmare,” Savannah said on Monday, thanking fans for their prayers. “We believe that somehow, some way, [Nancy] is feeling these prayers and that God is lifting her even in this moment and in this darkest place. We believe our mom is still out there.”

Savannah explained that her family was in an “hour of desperation,” adding, “We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken, and we don’t know where, and we need your help. So, I’m coming on just to ask you, not just for your prayers, but no matter where you are, even if you’re far from Tucson, if you see anything, you hear anything, if there’s anything at all that seems strange to you, that you report to law enforcement.”
