In all likelihood Freddy Peralta has thrown his final pitch with the Mets, who are protecting their trade-deadline bait.

Scheduled to start Friday at Citi Field against the Marlins, Peralta has been scratched, a source confirmed, which will ensure he does not suffer an injury that would harm his value.

And he is expected to have value despite the results from what has been a disappointing four months in Queens, pitching to a 4.99 ERA in 22 games and part of the reason the Mets will be deadline sellers.
