Gossip Girl and Blue Bloods actress Chanel Maya Banks has reportedly been missing for two weeks.
A recent report reveals that Banks’ family members — including her mother, Judy Singh, from New York — flew to California to search for the 36-year-old actress, who has not been seen since October 30.
“Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells,” Banks’ cousin Danielle-Tori Singh told Eyewitness News on Wednesday, November 13. “She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom.”
She added, “That girl is more like a big sister to me.”
Since arriving on the West Coast, Danielle-Tori has been distributing missing person flyers to help find Banks. She also alleged to Eyewitness News that Banks’ husband, whose name has not been revealed, is not cooperating with authorities.
“He’s not willing to help LAPD,” she claimed. “He’s not willing to help me or her mom find her. He is removing flyers off of posts and cars.”
Danielle-Tori added, “I can tell you in my soul, in my gut, something is not right. … We’re crossing two weeks now without a word, without a sound. Nothing.”
She echoed these sentiments in the description of a recently created GoFundMe page, noting that Banks and her husband have been married for just over a year. Danielle-Tori also claimed that Banks’ husband had “a busted lip and marks and scratches on his neck and arms” when she saw him.
“We asked him, where is Chanel, and all he continues to say is ‘she does not want to be found, she will reach out when she’s ready,’” she alleged. “He claims he does not know where she is, he says he hasn’t seen or heard from her since November 7, but never called police to say she’s gone.”
Danielle-Tori also wrote that she was able to enter her cousin’s apartment on November 10.
“All of her belongings are still there. The only items we did not locate are her phone and laptop. She also does not go anywhere without her little dog, which also has been left behind,” the GoFundMe reads. “She also does not have her vehicle because it’s parked in her garage. She would NEVER go anywhere without telling her mom or myself.”
Along with Gossip Girl and Blue Bloods, Banks, who has also been credited as Chanel Farrell, appeared in a movie titled Twelve.
