Grambling State’s First Four victory over Montana State in Wednesday’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament paid off quickly for the Tigers’ Jimel Cofer.

Buffalo Wild Wings signed the GSU guard to a real-time Name, Image and Likeness deal thanks to Cofer’s layup that tied the March Madness contest and sent Grambling’s inaugural NCAA Tournament contest into overtime.

“The deal is through the tournament,” said Kristen Ellis, who represents the MSL Group. “It includes exclusive Buffalo Wild Wings merchandise and a food delivery as well as financial compensation.”

It is unclear what the financial compensation entails.

Grambling eventually defeated Montana State 88-81 to advance to face Purdue on Friday in the NCAA’s Midwest Regional.

The deal is part of BWW’s Overtime Wingtime promotion, which allows patrons to receive six free wings anytime an NCAA game goes into overtime.

“Fans can enjoy free wings in any of Buffalo Wild Wings’ 26 sauces and seasonings, including new limited-edition Honey Sriracha and returning favorite Honey Garlic sauces,” Ellis said.

Last year, BWW signed Marquette’s Mackenzie Hare and others in celebration of their performances sending their team’s games into overtime.
