Guy Fieri just rewrote the recipe for his hairstyle.

The famed celebrity restaurateur, 58, had fans doing a double take after ditching his spiky icy blond locks in favor of a smoother, darker style that appears to be slow-roasted to perfection.

“Hey there! After so many years of celebrating my birthday as Guy, I figured this year I’d celebrate it as just a guy. Happy birthday to me!” he said in the video posted to his Instagram grid on Thursday, January 22, captioning the clip, “New Year. New Guy. New Look.”

Fieri sported a checkered button-down shirt with khakis and a brown belt in the clip, which showed the Mayor of Flavortown blowing out the candles on his cake.

Many social media users couldn’t recognize the TV personality, who is known for his bold ‘do and signature shades but swapped it for a more toned-down appearance in the AI-generated video he posted.

Even his own son Hunter Fieri got a kick out of his father’s hair transformation. “Dad… when did you start selling insurance? 😂,” Hunter, 29, commented.

Bar Rescue host and executive producer Jon Taffer replied, “Now you’re perfectly undercover to do recon on Bar Rescue! Happy Birthday enjoy!!” Fellow food personality Joshua Weissman quipped, “Wow, I barely recognized him. Bro looks like my car salesman. Happy birthday!!” Food Network alum Crista Luedtke also entered the chat, writing, “😂😂😂love the new look. I’m sure Lori is thrilled 😂.”

The Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives host has been married to his wife, Lori Fieri, since 1995, and the couple share two sons: Hunter and Ryder Fieri, whom they welcomed in August 1996 and December 2005, respectively.

Guy and Lori, 54, first crossed paths at the restaurant he was running in Long Beach, California, three years before they wed.

“Her friend had been let go from the restaurant, and they weren’t supposed to be there. I was talking to her friend and saying, ‘Hey, listen, wait a few weeks before you come in,’ and standing behind her is this blue-eyed, blonde girl giving me this mean mug,” he told Delish in 2017 about the time they met.

Guy said there was an instant attraction, adding, “I knew as soon as I saw her. I just knew.”

In true foodie fashion, Guy showed her his culinary skills while winning over her heart. “That was a long time ago. I don’t remember what I made, but I do remember it was quite an epic time,” he shared in hindsight. “The first time I cooked for her, she was just like, ‘You made all this?’ We both love food, so being able to cook, that was one of the things that impressed her.”

In May 2019, Lori spoke out about Guy’s signature look and revealed that when they initially connected, he had no goatee and dark hair. Plus, he wore a “suit to work every day,” she told People.

“Now I look at him, and I’m like, ‘Where’s that man I married with the whole clean look?’ I always say, ‘When are you going to change your haircut?’ But it stuck, and it’s him,” Lori said, adding, “I tease him every once in a while. And I do want a little change sometimes.”
