Early voting runs from Oct. 21 through Nov. 1. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

More election data:

More than 18.6 million Texans are currently registered to vote, according to the Secretary of State’s office. So far, 11,339,595 votes have been cast, for a statewide turnout of 60.89%.

In the 2020 presidential election, 66.73% of registered voters in Texas cast a ballot, up from 59.39% in the 2016 election. Here’s how turnout this year compares to recent presidential elections.

Directly comparing this year’s turnout to 2020 is tricky because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on that election. The early voting period in 2020 was extended to 18 days, compared to the typical 12 days.

The maps below show turnout in each of the state’s 254 counties, based on data from the Secretary of State’s office. Hover over a county (or tap if using a mobile device) to see the data. You can also search for a specific county in the top left of the map.

Harris County has reported the highest number of votes, with more than 1.5 million. Dallas County is second, with more than 850,000. Four other counties have reported more than 500,000 votes: Tarrant, Bexar, Travis and Collin.

Thirteen counties have surpassed 75% turnout so far. King County has the highest turnout, at 81.82%, followed by Glasscock County, at 79.29%.
