Moneyline

A wager on the outcome of the fight. Sportsbooks assign odds to each fighter, establishing one as the favorite and the other as the underdog.

To no one’s surprise, Holloway is favored at -225 odds to defeat McGregor, given his five-year layoff and lack of recent activity.

Over/Under rounds

In UFC over/under betting, sportsbooks set a line for the fight’s duration, and you choose whether you believe the fight will last longer or shorter than that line.

McGregor vs. Holloway 2 has an over/under of 2.5 rounds with odds of -125 for the under and -105 for the over. The bettor must wager $125 to win $100 if the fight lasts less than 2.5 rounds, or $105 to win $205 if it lasts more than 2.5 rounds.

As in boxing, bettors must review the round specifics before placing a wager in this UFC market.

If a fight ends exactly at 2:30, bets are usually voided or graded as an Under, based on the sportsbook’s rules. If you bet on the fight to go over 2.5 rounds and it ends three minutes into the third round, you win. But if it ends just one minute into the third round, your bet loses.

Prop bets

Prop bets are a broad term for wagers that aren’t directly tied to moneyline betting. They are highly popular among bettors because they provide various ways to wager on fights.

Here are some types of UFC prop bets you can find on sportsbooks:

  • Significant strikes landed
  • How the fight will end
  • Points Spread
  • Fight to go the distance

The range of other prop bets varies by sportsbook. Some offer many options, while others restrict players to specific ones.

Method of victory

You are placing a wager on a particular fight outcome.

A match can conclude via decision (split, unanimous, or majority), technical decision, draw, KO/TKO, or submission. These betting types operate similarly to moneyline and round betting.

Below are the methods of victory options on the McGregor-Holloway 2 market:

Fighter By KO, TKO, DQ Submission Decision
Max Holloway -125 +1100 +550
Conor McGregor +250 +2500 +1200
