Three things are certain on Thanksgiving.

There will be turkey on the table, someone will make an awkward speech at dinner, and the Detroit Lions will take the field.

This year is no different as Dan Campbell’s 10-1 club takes on Matt Eberflus’ 4-7 Chicago Bears in the annual Thanksgiving Classic.

Coming into the week 13 matchup, Jared Goff and the Lions have won nine games in a row including last weekend’s 24-6 trouncing of the Indianapolis Colts. In that contest, Jared Goff threw for 269 yards and running back Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for two touchdowns.

As for the Bears, they started the season hot but have lost their last five and have yet to win on the road this year. That being said, their last two losses against fellow NFC North rivals, the Packers and Vikings, have been 20-19 and 30-27 heartbreakers respectively. It should also be noted they beat the Lions 28-13 in week 14 last year which inspired coach Dan Campbell to suggest the team lacked “discipline” in a postgame press conference.
