Trader Joe’s is enticing loyal customers with another limited-edition tote bag. Since there are only two locations in Sarasota and Manatee counties, customers can expect even longer lines and even more of a demand for their new limited edition tote bag.
In time for the holidays, the health food chain has released a new canvas tote bag with green detailing and longer straps. The bag is essentially the same as Trader Joe’s original blue reusable bag, measuring about 20 inches wide and 14 inches tall, according to Reno Gazette Journal, part of the USA TODAY Network. Trader Joe’s did not immediately respond for comment about the bags’ availability when contacted by USA TODAY on Dec. 9.
Already known for its cult-like fanbase, Trader Joe’s has released several specialty tote bags this year that have resulted in winding customer lines. There was the “Trick-or-Treat Mini Canvas Totes,” Easter mini totes and perhaps most notably, the Micro Totes.
In November, Trader Joe’s released its Micro Tote, a bag only about 4.5 inches by 3.5 inches, perfect for storing keys, spare change or lip balm. Available in red, green and blue for $2.99, the miniature totes quickly sold out.
Even more recently, the chain offered its popular “mystery packs,” which included three different reusable shopping bags for $2.99. Across the country the packs sold out, as customers were eager to get their hands on a potentially limited-edition selection.
