Is “SNL” new tonight (Dec. 7, 2024)? YES. NBC’s sketch comedy series returns for Season 50, Episode 8 on Saturday night with host Paul Mescal and musical guest Shaboozey. In his “Saturday Night Live” promo video (watch above), Mescal teaches cast member Chloe Fineman how to correctly pronounce his last name. And no, it’s not pronounced like the alcoholic drink “mezcal.”

The regular cast members for “SNL” Season 50 are Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Marcello Hernandez, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Michael Longfellow, Ego Nwodim, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson, Devon Walker, and Bowen Yang. The featured players are Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline. Over the summer, Punkie Johnson, Molly Kearney, and Chloe Troast all departed the program.
