The quickly expanding fast-food chain Jack’s is putting down roots in Jackson.

The quick-service restaurant announced its first Jack’s in Jackson on Monday. It will be the 33rd location in Mississippi, and it is expected to open by the end of 2025.

It will be located at 2365 W Highway 80, where it will have southern touches like rockingchairs on the front porch.

Jack’s is known for its hand-breaded fried chicken and made-from-scratch biscuits to freshly made-to-order burgers, hand-dipped milkshakes and more.

“Jackson is home to so many unforgettable experiences, from visiting The Capri Theatre and exploring the Mississippi Blues Trail to cheering on the Jackson Tigers,” Jack’s Family Restaurants CEO Todd Bartmess said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to add Jack’s to the list of great places where the community can come together and enjoy time with loved ones.”

This new location is expected to offer a combination 50-60 full and part-time jobs to the Jackson area.

Jack’s was founded in 1960 in Homewood, Alabama, starting out as Jack’s Hamburgers in a walk-up hamburger stand that served burgers, fries, sodas and shakes. It has grown to more than 260 locations in four states in the South.
