The legend of “The Miz” keeps growing.

Jacob Misiorowski has gone from electric young arm to the center of the National League Cy Young race, with the Brewers flamethrower putting together one of the most dominant starts of any pitcher in baseball.

Misiorowski is now atop the National League Cy Young odds board after a ridiculous opening stretch that has him leading the senior circuit in several key categories and overpowering hitters with triple-digit velocity.

Heading into Wednesday’s play, Misiorowski leads the majors with a 1.45 ERA and 138 strikeouts, the latter which are 17 more than any other pitcher in baseball.

Misiorowski also leads all of baseball in fielding independent pitching (1.66), WHIP (0.753), hits allowed per nine innings (4.5) and homers allowed per nine innings (0.4), giving him a ridiculous resume as the halfway points of the season nears.

Earlier this month, the flame-throwing right-hander tossed one of the best outings in recent MLB history, punching out 15 Phillies in a complete game shutout while allowing only one baserunner – a single off the bat of Kyle Schwarber.

That dominance has now made him the clear front-runner in the Cy Young race.

Misiorowski is now an odds-on favorite to win the award at DraftKings Sportsbook, sitting at -160 heading into Friday’s start against the Cubs, a massive jump for a pitcher who entered the season as one of baseball’s most electric but still largely unproven young arms.

He passed up Philadelphia’s Cristopher Sánchez (+280), who was the favorite for a time thanks to his ridiculous 50 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings earlier this season.

Paul Skenes, who opened the season with the best odds after winning the award a season ago, remains in the mix at +1200.
