Jeff Lewis’ big return to Bravo is almost here.
In Us’ exclusive sneak peek of the Monday, September 28, series premiere of Still Flipping Out, Jeff, 56, quickly proves he still has a keen eye for design as he showcases one of his most special home renovations to date.
“I bought the June Street house in December of 2022,” Jeff shares in a confessional interview. “It was initially going to be a $400,000 renovation. It went from $400,000 to $3 million. I just kept adding and adding and creating and redoing and making it better so I like having a project.”
He adds, “I’ve enjoyed all three years of doing that house.”
From $100,000 windows and an $80,000 HVAC and electrical system to a $225,000 pool and $50,000 walk-in closet, this project isn’t exactly a budget-friendly deal.
Jeff’s chief-of-staff, Shane Douglas, may have a better way of explaining the cost of a renovation.
“When he first bought it, the idea was, ‘OK, I’ll fix the kitchen.’ But Jeff can girl math his way into justifying this house very easily,” Shane joked. “I’ve watched him do it day after day, year after year, and it was literally like, ‘OK, I’m also going to do the secondary kitchen too because it’s right there because it’s by the kitchen. It’s the same thing. OK, I’m also going to do the powder room and the pool bathroom and the primary,’ and it just exploded.”
One home renovation, however, isn’t the only project Jeff is working on. This season on Still Flipping Out, viewers will watch the reality star navigate the demands of his hit SiriusXM show on Radio Andy, an eponymous design empire, a friend group affectionately known as the chumps and everything in between.
Fans met Jeff when he starred in Flipping Out, which ran for 11 seasons on Bravo until 2018.
In an interview with Bravo Insider, Jeff explained how house flipping has changed in the time since Flipping Out first premiered in 2007.
“Prices are high, but homes aren’t moving. So it’s a little hard, I think, right now to flip,” he said in an interview published on September 20. “I mean, it’s not impossible. You can still do it. But it’s not as easy. I feel like you have to be very experienced and know what you’re doing. And also account for the fact that there could be a little bit of depreciation, or the prices might come down a little bit. You have to beat a new path for that.”
