Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have been friends for decades, as well as co-stars in numerous projects, however, the Friends star didn’t know Witherspoon’s real name.
During a joint interview with LadBible, The Morning Show co-stars quizzed each other on how well they knew one another. When asked if Aniston knew Witherspoon’s middle name, a hysterical interaction occurred.

“This is kind of tricky,” Witherspoon quipped before revealing to Aniston that her real name was Laura. “Who the hell is Laura?” the Murder Mystery actress asked, hilariously shocked.
“I’m Laura Jean,” the Big Little Lies star revealed.

Aniston, still left baffled, asked “What made you go with Reese for your acting name?”
“It’s my middle name. I’m Laura Jean Reese,” Witherspoon said. The Cruel Intentions star then explained that her mother, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Witherspoon’s maiden name was Reese.
The Legally Blonde actress, however, doesn’t have much room to talk, though, as she was also unaware of her long-time friend’s middle name: Joanna.

“What? I was today years old when I learned her real name,” she said, before asking her castmate if anyone ever calls her J.J. Aniston responded with “Mm-hmm” with Witherspoon bantering back, “Well I do now.”
The star’s real name may be Laura Jean, but she’s been going by Reese since her acting debut in a florist commercial when she was just seven years old.
