Vice President Kamala Harris is seemingly taking it easy as she spends her downtime with family following the 2024 Presidential election. In photos shared on social media by her niece Meena Harris, the 60-year-old is all smiles with her two great-nieces.

The post features two carousel images uploaded to Instagram on Sunday (Nov. 10). In the snaps, Harris is casually enjoying a game of Connect Four with her hair pulled back into a messy bun, wearing a Howard University pullover hoodie.

“Back to where it all began only a few months ago,” shared Meena Harris in the caption. “My eternal gratitude to everyone who showed up. We love her so much.”

Last week, VP Harris was defeated by now-President-elect Donald Trump. According to Newsweek, Harris is partially redirecting campaign funds toward a recount. The website details, “The first $41,300/$15,000 from a person/multicandidate committee (‘PAC’) will be allocated to the DNC. The next $3,300/$5,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to Harris for President’s Recount Account.”

Still, Harris formerly conceded to Trump after he was declared victorious. Per CNN, as of Saturday, Trump earned 50.3% of the popular vote and 312 Electoral votes.

Kamala Harris speaking

“A fundamental principle of American democracy is that when we lose an election, we accept the results,” detailed the VP. “That principle, as much as much as any other, distinguishes democracy from monarchy or tyranny, and anyone who seeks the public trust must honor it.

She added, “At the same time, in our nation, we owe loyalty not to a president or to a party, but to the Constitution of the United States.”
