WASHINGTON — The Knicks are going to have a tough time saying goodbye to December.

They entered the month with the league’s easiest schedule, according to NBA.com, which tabulated their opponents’ win percentage at just 38.6 percent.

They had just one back-to-back, which ended Saturday against the conference’s worst team, the Wizards.

And the Knicks took care of business. If they beat the Wizards again Monday in the rematch, they will own a 13-2 record in December.

It would nearly match their 14-2 mark in January of last season, which was celebrated as the franchise’s winningest month since 1994.

The schedule gets a little tougher in January, with three sets of back-to-backs and games against OKC (twice), Milwaukee, Minnesota, Memphis and Denver.

But it’s also a home-heavy month with easier matchups against Utah, Chicago and Brooklyn.

The most difficult months for the Knicks are February and March, with a stretch of 14 games — including 11 on the road — and games at Cleveland, at Boston, at Memphis, at Miami, at Lakers, at Warriors and at Spurs.

Soreness didn’t slow down Jalen Brunson in the last game, but apparently he hasn’t yet shaken off his lower leg injury.

The point guard is again listed as “questionable” for Monday against the Wizards because of tightness in his right calf.

He carried that same designation into Saturday’s contest, warmed up as usual with his father/assistant coach Rick Brunson, and dropped 55 points against the Wizards.

“I was just reading the game,” Brunson said. “Throughout the game you’re just attacking seams, you’re trying to see where you can be effective. When you have four other guys on the court who space the floor, it’s easy.”

It’s unclear what prompted Brunson’s calf tightness.

He has not missed a game this season and ranks sixth in the NBA in total minutes.

Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and OG Anunoby are in the top five in the league in total minutes.

The Wizards, meanwhile, will likely be returning at least one important player.

Kyle Kuzma, who hasn’t played since November because of sprained rib cartilage, was not listed on the injury report.

The 29-year-old is a trade candidate before the deadline, but the three years and $60-plus million remaining on his contract make Kuzma difficult to move.

Jordan Poole, who also missed Saturday’s game, is listed as questionable for Monday because of a hip contusion.

Without Kuzma or Poole, the Wizards still scored 132 points against the Knicks — with Brooklyn product Justin Champagnie going off for a career-high 31.
