Kylie Jenner is lighting up the latest cover of Vanity Fair — quite literally.
The reality star-turned-beauty mogul, 28, is shown smoking a cigarette for the magazine’s Spring Issue released on Wednesday, March 11, donning a satin Dolce & Gabbana bra, Hermès riding breeches with a Balenciaga belt, a vintage watch by Cartier and David Webb earrings.
Shot by photographer Mert Alas, the cover image sees Jenner perched on a bed as the flame of her lighter illuminates her face in a smoldering moment that sets the tone for the glamorous spread with the tagline, “Kylie on Top.” Her makeup is classic with a modern edge, featuring soft blended eye shadows, a matte foundation with sculpted cheekbones and a peachy, nude blush.
Another standout photo from the shoot displays Jenner walking through an elegant room wearing heels and a dramatic Chanel cape tied at the neck — with nothing underneath. The nude snapshot was captured in moody black-and-white and shows off her hourglass curves.
In a third image, she seductively lounges on a chair wearing a scalloped Miu Miu bra paired with underwear by Commando and emerald-green Belperron ear clips.
“She’s probably more bombshell, and I think I’m a little bit … well, just less bombshell,” her supermodel sister Kendall Jenner said in the accompanying interview while praising Kylie for forging her own path in the spotlight.
Kylie, for her part, offers readers a rare glimpse into her personal life, ambitions and the future she’s building, including her hopes to have more children. As for what’s ahead, “In the last years of my 20s, I want to focus on just me, my businesses, my work, traveling with my kids, enjoying my kids,” she shared, including her desires to expand her family.
“We learned how we wanted to take control of our private lives as much as we could,” Kendall, 30, also chimed in about her sibling. “I’ve seen so much beautiful growth in her, and she’s really come into herself in such an awesome way.”
Kendall added, “She had kids really young, so she had to grow up quick, but it feels like the most adult I’ve ever seen her, and I feel like she’s just really in her grown-up bag.”
