No. 4 LSU (25-1, 10-1 SEC) defeated No. 17 Tennessee (17-6, 4-6 SEC), 82-77, on Sunday at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Rankings reflect the USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll.

The Lady Vols set a program record for made three-point field goals in a season. Tennessee converted 6-of-18 three-point attempts at LSU. The Lady Vols have recorded 245 made three-point attempts in 23 games, breaking the previous season-high of 242 during the 2010-11 season in 37 contests.

Ruby Whitehorn also recorded her 1,000th career point in the game for Tennessee. She led the Lady Vols in scoring with 21 points.

Tennessee will next play on Thursday against Auburn at Food City Center. Tipoff between the Lady Vols and Tigers is slated for 6:30 p.m. EST (SEC Network+).
