LaMelo Ball’s career year will be put on pause.

The Hornets star will be out for at least two weeks with a left calf strain, the team announced on Saturday.

The injury occurred during the team’s loss to the Heat on Wednesday and he subsequently missed their loss to the Knicks on Friday.

He is averaging 31.1 points, 6.9 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game, including 40.3 points per game across the last four games and a career-high 50 points in a loss to the Bucks last Saturday.

The Hornets entered Saturday’s clash against the Hawks 12th in the Eastern Conference.

Ball, whom the Hornets selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 draft and is in the midst of a five-year $203 million contract, has been incredibly injury-prone throughout his career.

He played just 22 and 36 games the last two years, respectively.
