Tennessee basketball has its final road game of the season Wednesday.
The No. 4 Vols (24-5, 11-5 SEC) play at Ole Miss (20-9, 9-7) on Wednesday (9 p.m. ET, ESPN2). They complete the regular season against South Carolina at Food City Center on Saturday before heading into the SEC Tournament.
Tennessee needs to win one of its final two regular-season games to secure a double bye in the SEC Tournament. UT hosts South Carolina on Saturday after playing at Ole Miss.
The Vols have a one-game lead on Missouri for fourth place in the conference and hold the tiebreaker over the Tigers on account of an 85-81 win on Feb. 5.
Tennessee can finish as high as second if it finishes in a three-way tie with Alabama and Florida at 13-5. UT would have to win both its remaining games while Florida and Alabama both go 1-1 in the final week. The Vols would hold the tiebreaker because it went 2-1 vs. the Gators and Crimson Tide. They beat the Crimson Tide and split two meetings with Florida.
