Love Is Blind couple Amy Cortés and Johnny McIntyre are not in a rush to expand their family — and have a message for anyone continually asking when they will.

“When people ask if we plan on having kids soon,” Amy, 30, wrote via TikTok on Monday, December 8, sharing footage of her and Johnny, 29, frightfully looking at one another and shaking their heads.

Amy, who married Johnny during season 6 of the Netflix dating experiment, further stressed that the couple aren’t in a rush to become parents.

“May I remind y’all we got married OVERNIGHT after knowing each other 😭. We’re just tryna live our best DINK lives out here for now,” Amy captioned her upload, using the “Dual Income, No Kids” slang abbreviation. “It’ll be a beautiful thing once it happens but one thing at a time pls [and] thank you.”

Since Amy and Johnny’s Love Is Blind wedding day, they’ve received an onslaught of comments asking about their family planning journey and questioning whether Amy was hiding a baby bump in her social media photos.

“I’m, like, ‘Honey, I’m just built like that,’” Amy said on a June episode of the “What’s the Reality?” podcast, shutting down the frequent pregnancy speculation. “I have scoliosis, my tummy sometimes pokes out, I’m bloated.”

Amy also explained that there are “still some other things” she and Johnny want to accomplish before becoming parents.

“We will announce when it happens [and] when the time comes, the time comes,”  Johnny chimed in at the time. “I feel, like, we’ll be as ready as we can be, but we’re both going to be really excited.”

Amy and Johnny have long been vocal about their hopes to eventually welcome children into their family.

“In my perfect world, I would love to [have kids] when I’m in my early thirties, but it just really depends,” Amy exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2024. “I feel like we’ve had a beautiful year and we definitely want to keep continuing to do stuff within our marriage, traveling and just exploring each other and the world together.”

At the time, both Amy and Johnny were hoping to wait “three to four years” before they started trying to have kids.

“Whenever the time does come when we’re both like, ‘Hey, we’re ready now,’ that’s what we’re going to shoot for,” Johnny told Us last year, gushing over their communication style. “We try to talk about everything, and we want to make sure that we are not the type of people who just kind of brush things under the rug.”

Amy and Johnny fell in love on Love Is Blind season 6, getting engaged without ever seeing one another. They were the only pair to tie the knot on their season and now highlight their relationship milestones via social media.

“Happy 2-year anniversary, Johnny Mac,” Amy wrote via Instagram in May. “Time really has flown by, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re having fun with the love of your life. … I can’t wait to see what year three brings. Every inch of my heart loves your soul, Johnny Mac. Thank you for being the most incredible partner — and here’s to many more memories together.”
