Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has some thoughts on ex Davide Sanclimenti moving on with his new girlfriend.

“There’s still stuff that happened I have not spoken about. I feel like it’s private. He knows. He knows. It will always stay like that,” Ekin-Su, 30, claimed on the Tuesday, March 11, episode of the “Great Company” podcast. “I do wish him well. I genuinely wish him well. He’s got a girlfriend now, from what I’ve heard, he’s in L.A. living his life, and he deserves happiness too.”

She continued: “We had a relationship that was in the past, wonderful memories. I will always treasure them, but I’m happy now, too. Isn’t that nice when exes can move on and find people that they can be happy with?”

Ekin-Su and Davide were crowned the winners of Love Island season 8 in 2022. Despite a brief split, the pair rekindled their romance in 2023 before calling it quits for good the following year.

Davide, for his part, went public with his relationship with Iris Au in January. The next month, Davide gushed over his girlfriend while celebrating Valentine’s Day.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to the most romantic woman I’ve ever met. Since being with you, I learned what a ‘monthsary’ is. 😆❤️,” he wrote via Instagram in February. “You’re the most kind and genuine person. We were supposed to meet as friends, but from that first “friendly date,” we’ve been inseparable. I loved that you didn’t know who I was. You love deeply because you’ve been through a lot, and that made me want to protect you.”

He continued, “Thank you for believing in me, for bringing out my best, and for being someone who pushes me to grow. True love is wonderful because it doesn’t destroy you. I know we met for a reason and I’m glad we’re healing each other. We don’t have to be together—we choose each other every day. To us ✨.”

Ekin-Su, for her part, returned to Love Island for season 2 of the All Stars show. (She ultimately finished in third place with Curtis Pritchard.)

“Coming back for All Stars is a homecoming and a full circle moment for me,” Ekin-Su exclusively told Us Weekly in January. “It’s about rewriting my story, overcoming traumas and having a good laugh along the way. I’m returning with more perspective — being older and wiser — and I’m ready for everyone to get to know Ekin 2.0.”
