David Beckham leads a new Super Bowl 2025 commercial for Stella Artois — and finds out he’s a twin while sharing a beer with his (fake) parents at a pub.
“We have something to tell you,” Beckham’s commercial mom tells him.
“You have a twin we never told you about,” his dad interjects.
Beckham replies, saying: “I always knew there was something missing.”
Labeled the “other David,” a confused Beckham asks: “You called him other David?”
When the parents slide two baby photos in front of the soccer player, the father reveals that they “left him in America.”
All week, Stella Artois has been teasing viewers with the question: “Who is Other David?”
After taking a plane to America, Beckham rings the doorbell of a home — revealing the “Other David.”
When the door opens, Matt Damon, 54, shakes the soccer player’s hand while introducing himself as Dave Beckham.
“No way,” Beckham, 49, says under his breath before Damon invites him in for buffalo wings and beer.
When offered a wing, Beckham asks Damon if he eats buffalo, to which Damon replies, “No, it’s just chicken. It was invented in Buffalo, the city.”
“So it’s not buffalo?” Beckham questions, taking a jab at Buffalo’s Bill’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the conference championship.
Beckham then discovers that the two men are indeed related — only because of Damon’s athletic skills.
Someone at the barbecue tosses Damon a football and he kicks it into the air with a thunderous sound effect.
“It’s just something I do,” Damon quips.
Beckham then asks Damon if he drinks Stella. “I have taste, David,” he jokes, as they click their bottles together.
As they walk arm in arm, Beckham reveals to Damon that he has a secret to share.
“My brother is a famous soccer player. So how famous are you? Are you like Matt Damon famous?” he asks
Beckham jokes: “Maybe Ben Affleck famous.”
“That’s a shame,” Damon says.
Affleck, of course, has been best friends with Damon since they met as kids in Boston. Affleck, 52, also stars in a Super Bowl commercial this year, yet again promoting his favorite coffee chain Dunkin’.
Stella Artois spoke on Beckham’s 2025 campaign, saying they hope the light-hearted commercial will highlight “the genuine way people connect over Stella Artois.”
The commercial is set to air as the Chiefs play against the Philadelphia Eagles for Superbowl LIX at the New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome on Sunday, Feb. 9.
