HANNIBAL — The Miss Hannibal Competition is set to return on Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. at The Crossing in Hannibal. “The Awakening” of Miss Hannibal will happen after after a five-year absence, and will once again serve as a preliminary pageant for Miss Missouri and Miss America.

The competition has various categories, including private interview, on-stage question, talent, fitness and evening gown. The contest aims to empower young women by helping them develop professional skills and pursue their educational goals through scholarship awards.

Former directors Barbara Stewart and Rita Nelson will be recognized; former Miss Hannibal, Miss Mark Twain and teen titleholders are invited for a special on-stage appearance. Their contributions have played a significant role in shaping the legacy of this pageant and inspiring future generations.

The event will be hosted by Teagan Orpet from KHQA; with co-hosts Miss Missouri, Ashley Berry; and Miss Missouri Teen, Bridget Caldwell. It will also feature a performance by the WiLoKi Competitive Dance Team.
